How to Export Estate Sale Inventory to LiveAuctioneers

Turn your estate sale catalog into a LiveAuctioneers bulk upload file with estimates, reserves, starting bids, and photos filled in. No retyping lots.

Updated October 20, 2026

At a glance

  • Download a LiveAuctioneers bulk upload CSV straight from your priced catalog.
  • Low and high estimates, starting bid, reserve, and buy-now are worked out from your price.
  • Pick Conservative, Recommended, or Aggressive pricing to match the sale.
  • Up to four photos per lot, with the client as consignor and your SKU as the lot reference.
  • Titles and descriptions are cleaned up to pass LiveAuctioneers' upload rules.

Step by step

  1. 01

    Price your items

Only priced items export. LiveAuctioneers rejects lots without an estimate, so unpriced items are left out and EstateFlow tells you how many.

  2. 02

    Export from EstateFlow

Open the estate, click Export inventory, and choose LiveAuctioneers. Export the whole estate or a single room.

  3. 03

    Pick a pricing approach

Choose Conservative, Recommended, or Aggressive. The preview shows what a $100 item becomes, and your choice is remembered for next time.

  4. 04

    Upload to LiveAuctioneers

Download the CSV and upload it with bulk upload in your LiveAuctioneers seller portal.

  5. 05

    Review and publish

Check your lots on LiveAuctioneers, add anything the file leaves blank like condition or shipping, then publish your catalog.

Why export instead of retyping

Some pieces bring more in front of a national bidder pool than they do on the floor of a two-day sale. The catch is getting them onto LiveAuctioneers: every lot needs a title, description, estimates, a starting bid, and photos, and typing a few hundred of those by hand eats a full day.

You already photographed, described, and priced everything in EstateFlow. The export turns that catalog into LiveAuctioneers' bulk upload format, with the auction numbers worked out from the price you set.

A $340 armchair in EstateFlow becomes LiveAuctioneers Lot 1 with a $255 to $425 estimate, $128 opening bid, $255 reserve, and $425 buy-now
One priced item becomes a ready-to-upload lot.

Three pricing approaches

Your EstateFlow price is the anchor. Pick how the auction numbers sit around it. Here is what a $100 item becomes with each:

  • Recommended: estimate $75 to $125, starting bid $38, reserve $75, buy-now $125.
  • Conservative: estimate $65 to $110, starting bid $33, reserve $85, no buy-now.
  • Aggressive: estimate $85 to $150, starting bid $43, reserve $65, buy-now $150.

Starting bids are always half the low estimate, rounded to whole dollars, so a lot never opens above its estimate. LiveAuctioneers rejects lots where it does.

What's in the file

  • Lot numbers starting from 1, in catalog order.
  • Titles that fit LiveAuctioneers' 49-character limit. Long ones are shortened at a word boundary, and you're told how many were.
  • Descriptions with line breaks converted and links removed, since either one fails the upload.
  • Up to four photos per lot: the main photo plus extra angles you took in the mobile app.
  • The client's name as consignor, your EstateFlow SKU as the lot reference number, and the item's room as the location nickname.

What you finish on LiveAuctioneers

The file leaves condition, category, dimensions, weight, shipping, and the creator and materials fields blank. Fill in what matters for your best lots after the upload, before you publish.

Good to know

  • This is a file you export and upload. No LiveAuctioneers account connection is needed.
  • Lot numbers restart at 1 in each export. If you export room by room into one auction, renumber on LiveAuctioneers or export the whole estate at once.
  • Running HiBid or Auction Flex 360 instead? The HiBid export uses the same three pricing approaches.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to connect my LiveAuctioneers account?

No. EstateFlow gives you a CSV in LiveAuctioneers' bulk upload format. You upload it yourself in your seller portal.

What happens to items without a price?

They're left out of the file, because LiveAuctioneers rejects lots without an estimate. EstateFlow tells you how many were skipped so you can price them and export again.

Can I change estimates after uploading?

Yes. The file gives you a starting point. Edit any lot on LiveAuctioneers before you publish the catalog.

How many photos come with each lot?

Up to four: the main photo plus any extra angles taken in the EstateFlow mobile app.
